If you like living large at resorts or hiding out on secluded islands—or both—you may well find it's better in the Bahamas. Nassau and Freeport teem with celebrity chefs and glitzy casinos, while the out islands decidedly do not. Either way, expect lots of conch, beer, sun, and good-natured pressure to relax.
